Outreach

Members of Ashland Terrace Christian Church work with several groups and agencies to reach out to our local neighbors.

Cambodian Mission
We provide continued support to Tim and Melani Chan in their efforts to spread the gospel to Cambodia and in other parts of the world. We support education for children there with an annual cake auction.

Chattanooga Community Kitchen:
Part of the CHATT Foundation (Center for Homeless Advancement for Today and Tomorrow)
Their mission is to meet the most basic needs of hungry, homeless and vulnerable people in our community while offering a clear path to self-sufficiency.

ATCC is one of 40+ church members of the board of the Community Kitchen.
Our members volunteer – serving meals, staffing the Day Center and collecting donations.

Hamilton County K-12 Schools
We work with with Hamilton County Schools doing snack packs and Fresh Fruit deliveries at Rivermont Elementary School. We also help support the supply closet at Dupont Elementary.

Humane Educational Society of Chattanooga
Mission: provide a safe haven for homeless, abused and neglected animals in our community and advocate on their behalf. Vision: a community in which each pet has a home where they are respected and cherished.

We provide both monetary and in-kind donations. Church members are volunteers.

In 2022: 3,360 pets were placed (Including dogs, cats, guinea pigs, chickens, pigs, rabbits, and more) and 138 Lost Pets were returned to their owners.
Over 3,000 animals were admitted and given shelter during the year.

NorthSide Neighborhood House
Promoting the independence of residents north of the river in Chattanooga by providing a hand up through education and assistance.

Our members volunteer – tutoring at local schools, sorting donations, making back to school packs and teaching in the GED program.

Salvation Army Bell Ringing
During the Christmas Season, ATCC volunteers work in shifts to ring the bell to solicit donations for the “Red Kettle” campaign.
